EVANGELIST - Deus Vult

Obal

1. GOD WILLS IT!

“Cursed be he who does not stain his sword with blood!”

Word from the thought
Became the flesh under heart
Stretched from the East to the West
From wound in chest
Cruor, Adam’s ale

We gave heed to disgrace
Defilement of Sacred Place
With temples turned in masjids
Ironclad fists
And our hearts have risen

We evoke the sky
God Wills It!
Let the saracens die
God Wills It!
Swords will sing our chant of doom

We will trample their shrines
God Wills It!
Retake what is ours
God Wills It!
Let the West prevail again

Till the heavens pass away
With this oath we faithful stay!

With fervor of Theodor
(On) Ascalon granted by George
On Michael’s sword of release
And scales of deeds
We solemnly pledge

To forsake emerald hills
Valleys of the Alps, northern cliffs
And dusky woods draped with moss
Until our cross
Eclipses crescent!

We evoke the sky
God Wills It!
Let the saracens die
God Wills It!
Swords will sing our chant of doom

We will trample their shrines
God Wills It!
Retake what is ours
God Wills It!
Let the West prevail again

Till the heavens pass away
With this oath we faithful stay!

Miserere nobis!

We dream of walls
Of precious Jerusalem!
Heart’s blood will flood
To cleanse the Promised Land!

We evoke the sky
God Wills It!
Let the saracens die
God Wills It!
Swords will sing our chant of doom

We will trample their shrines
God Wills It!
Retake what is ours
God Wills It!
Let the West prevail again

Till the heavens pass away
With this oath we faithful stay!

2. MEMENTO HOMO MORI

Thursday of life and forgiveness, the mist enshrouding the streets
Towards limbo we head out, to convert alms into sheep
One to be reborn for Death, to walk in the shadow of gallows
Under our protection and the cloak of Lady of Sorrows

Fifteen steps to death
Contemplate last breath
Crucifer leads our way
Follows the trail of the Cross

Oh suffering Lord, let yours be the glory
Memento Homo Mori!
Deliver your children from false sanctimony
Memento Homo Mori!
Repent for your sins, not yours is the glory
Memento Homo Mori!
In final hour you’ll give testimony
Memento Homo Mori!

Now Friday falls on world’s shoulders, blessed Arma Christi we wield
Psalms of Confession hit Heavens, scourged and prostrated and still
Our chant is swelling in tide, “Remember, man, about Death”
Your flesh turns into thin ash, wind scatters all that is left

Fifteen steps to death
Contemplate last breath
Crucifer leads our way
Follows the trail of the Cross

Oh suffering Lord, let yours be the glory
Memento Homo Mori!
Deliver your children from false sanctimony
Memento Homo Mori!
Repent for your sins, not yours is the glory
Memento Homo Mori!
In final hour you’ll give testimony
Memento Homo Mori!

3. HEAVENWARDS

“Scio opera tua, quia neque frigidus es neque calidus. Utinam frigidus esses aut calidus! Sic quia tepidus es et nec calidus nec frigidus, incipiam te evomere ex ore meo. “

Ruler of immortal pastures
Father of eternal strife
Let me fight in Your battalion when I die

Always few against so many
Beacons in secular night
Seas of blood and walls of fire in my path
In my path!

Heavenwards
We ride forth
Wounding
Bleeding
Quia Sanctus Dominus!

Heavenwards
Pathway goes
Killing
Dying
Quia Sanctus Dominus!

Storming smelteries of Satan
Tearing down the walls of lies
Wrap me in Your steel and let me burn with wrath

Absolution in savagery
Severity in deeds of light
Hot as lava, cold as ice - don’t spit me out!
Spit me out!

Heavenwards
We ride forth
Wounding
Bleeding
Quia Sanctus Dominus!

Heavenwards
Pathway goes
Killing
Dying
Quia Sanctus Dominus!

4. PROPHECY

With thorn in my side I split the web of time
Resistless towards horrors
Anguish of responsibility splits my mind

To see the crash of nations and keep dignity in pain
Witness self-crucifixion
All of this must be remembered as the end

Into the night we joyfully ride
Falling from the edge with no hope in sight
Into the night withering from blight
Obsequies for elated kind

How did it come to this? Now hour is at hand
When soil returns it’s dead
Essence of the human hatred will be raised

Not You are the chosen, who deem Yourselves to be
But those despised in pride
Will overtake in word and power, plant the seed

Into the night we joyfully ride
Falling from the edge with no hope in sight
Into the night withering from blight
Obsequies for elated kind

Into the night we joyfully ride
Falling from the edge with no hope in sight
Into the night withering from blight
Obsequies for elated kind

Into the night we joyfully ride
Staring into void, forsaken moths into light
Into the night with tears in our eyes
Doom for humankind!

5. THE PASSING

Oldest in clan, warden of a dreadful name
From father to firstborn dim clandestine lore
To summon her in the hour of peril

Who calls must pay the highest price in life
It has to be done, there’s no escape
That at least one could come back

I cannot find out
About my dwelling
When soul will part
Remains of my earthly shell

Who guides me now
To obscure old threshold
Distant in life
Thousandfold farther in dying

Familiar soil will bind me to ancestors realm
Water and coal for astral ablution
Waiting for soul by my head

Spirit is struggling with mundane flesh
Free it at last, turn arid eyes
Don’t hinder the fight for release

I cannot find out
About my dwelling
When soul will part
Remains of my earthly shell

Who guides me now
To obscure old threshold
Distant in life
Thousandfold farther in dying

I cannot find out
About my dwelling
When soul will part
Remains of my earthly shell

Who guides me now
To obscure old threshold
Distant in life
Thousandfold farther in dying

6. THE LEPER KING

“Our forefathers were religious men and feared God. Now in their places a wicked generation has grown up, sinful sons, falsifiers of Christian faith, who run the course of all unlawful things without discrimination”

Our grandfathers their broadswords
Washed in oceans, ground in barrens
And we sins of our fathers
Wash in weeping wounds of ours

The land lies languished, the folk lives chagrined
The East took over souls and tantrums
Those frail shoulders took hard millstone
Grasping holy plague in ransom

Hail to our King!
Bearing Kingdom’s guilt
Hail to You, Sire
Kingdom’s in the mire

To the saddlebow attached his body
Horns resound, blood strikes like river
This half corpse leads foolhardy champions
By the blade in rotten hand sans fingers

His gaze is fixed on the tree of rescue
As lipless mouth breath silent prayer
“Don’t let Thy Kingdom fall on my duty
Make me David, Goliath’s slayer!”

Hail to our King!
Bearing Kingdom’s guilt
Hail to You, Sire
Kingdom’s in the mire

Hail to our King!
Bearing Kingdom’s guilt
Hail to You, Sire
Kingdom’s in the mire

Hail to sovereign
Dignity regained
Hail to You, lad
Christus Imperat!

7. EREMITUS (KEEPER OF THE GRAIL)

"Dieu sait qui a tort et a péché. Il va bientot arriver malheur a ceux qui nous ont condamnés a mort"

Ancient warrior monks, iron soldiers of Christ
Men of prayer and men of war, fearless against demons and hordes
Champions of the Holy Land, first to engage and last to depart
All devoted to so high a case, who find their end in fires at the stake!

Eremitus!
Secluded from world
Eremitus!
Eternity to mourn
Eremitus!
Last in the chain
Eremitus!
Keeper of the grail

Eremitus - that’s how I’m called, a fading light of glory of old
Solomon’s Temple last cavalier, who fled to unknown on wings of sails
The island of oaks is my final home and resting place for miracle of the Lord
The seven must die, all oaks must fall, until that day the legend will grow!

Eremitus!
Secluded from world
Eremitus!
Eternity to mourn
Eremitus!
Last in the chain
Eremitus!
Keeper of the grail

Lo and behold the sons of the West!
Urging to the quest of quests
As our world is falling apart
The last crusade is in our harts

What we have fought for thousand years
Is left unguard, without esteem
And if we do not speak out loud
Then the rocks shall rise and shout!

Like a phoenix in its nest,
Burned the red sun in the West,
Sinking in an ashen cloud;
In the East, above the crest
Of the sea-like mountain chain,
Like a phoenix from its shroud,
Came the red sun back again.
And this day will ring my name!

Eremitus!
One against the world
Eremitus!
Soldier of the Lord
Eremitus!
Sworn in holy trail
Eremitus!
Keeper of the Grail!
